Twas but a cold and lonesome night,
when I finally realized. . .
realized that the only true love in my life,
desires not me . . . no, . . not me. .
yes, of course not me,
but yearns for my own flesh and blood.

Yes, the very blood that runs through my veins,
pulses through hers as well.
Can she not see . . .

what she is doing to me?
Can she not see. . .

the streaks these tears leave?
Does she not care?

That tommorow I may not be there,

be there to have my feelings hurt anymore;

or to have my heart crushed once more.
So as I end this. . .

full of thoughts of her;
and him full of thoughts of her.
I plunge this very pen,

into the hollow emptiness. . .
