Subject: Kim Richey songs
THOSE WORDS WE SAID (Kim Richey & Angelo)
-----------------------------------------
[Actually in [Ab]/; capo 1.]
[This is Kim Richey's version. Trisha Yearwood's version is different in
the following ways: (a) It's in #m (capo 2); (b) No acoustic guitar
intro, and shorter intro overall; (c) The end of the guitar solo is
different; (d) The ending is shorter.]
[The A's in parentheses among the Em's are short.]
[I think Kim plays the [Em] parts as ; that is, she uses her
pinky or ring finger on the 3rd fret of the low string to raise the bass
note to a on the backbeat (2 & 4).]
Acoustic guitar intro: see tab at end of file.

[intro]
I left you with nothing but a few tears in my eyes
Now I'm halfway down the interstate past Highway 99
It's just me and one good wiper blade up against the rain
(9) (9)
And I still hear the echoes of those bitter words we said
(9) (9)
And I could drive a million miles and never drive them from my head
[stop] () ()
Those words we said
No matter how I try, I can't get far enough away
Every sad song on my radio sounds like it's custom made
By some devil on my shoulder that keeps whispering in my ear
(9) (9)
And I still hear the echoes of those bitter words we said
(9) (9)
And I could drive a million miles and never drive them from my
- -
head
-
Those words that wounded like an arrow to the heart
(9) [stop]
And keep me driving, driving
- -
[guitar solo]
(9) (9)
And I still hear the echoes of those bitter words we said
(9) (9)
And I could drive a million miles and never drive them from my head
[stop] ()
Those words we said

Those words we said
[repeat [Em] () several times, and end on .]
