LION:
BY:
A fantastic song by david bazan about his breakup with the band pedro the lion. It's
personal, but evne though its SO incredibly specific to himself, it still somehow manages
apply to everyone who hears it somehow. It's amazing. I haven't found a single tab
for this song after searching for about half an hour I decided to just figure out the
myself. A beautiful song to play at a show.
NOTE: I don't know many chord names, so when I say "Fm" it means the F barre chord on
1st fret
STANDARD TUNING---CAPO ON 3RD
VERSE 1:
If you make a reference to some trouble, that you know
Can it help you keep it under control?
Or should I really re---consider
My reasons for going solo
David byrne on Bob Costas, puts it pretty well
G (moved 1 fret up the fretboard)
But I put it better
CHORUS:
I still run the show
Don't you forget it
So I had to let some go
Don't think I don't regret it
Cause I do and I don't think I'm better off alone
INTERLUDE
Man I could have, had a, big sound
But I love to, let my, friends down
VERSE 2
Fewer moving parts means fewer broken Pieces
When every other start requires a brand new theosis
F C G(moved up 1 fret)
One good friend remarks with a rightfully angry:
"Jesus dude! None of us know what to do with you"
To which I in my pride responded
"I've got news for you:
G(moved up 1 fret)
None of you have to, cause"
(play chorus again)
