So in this song there is one guitar playing the chords,

and the other guitar is playing a riff throughout the song,

starting in the second verse.

It goes something like this (keep in mind that this is relative to the capo on the first fret):

And in the last few choruses, the above riff is played,

followed by this, just as Ryan and Brendon are singing "one and lonely."

Not sure exactly how many times 4th fret on the D string is played,

but listen to the song and you will get the idea.

But I find that it's easier (and more importantly, sounds better) to play it capo 1.
