**The Young Veins ARE signed but the UG doesn't recognise them as one for some
reason. They're signed to One Haven Records.
**There are two ways to play this song. With a capo and without a capo. The chords
sound the same though (obviously). Jon Walker uses a capo on the second fret and
plays the fingering of D & E. I, personally, prefer to not use a capo and use the
fingering of E and F# (i use my pinky, ring, and middle finger for E to make it
easier to slide to F#). I'll be writing the chords out using my way, you can adapt
if you want to use Jon's way.
Intro: - -
She was acting pretty, thought she owned the city
Someone should have told her pretty ain't a job
And now she begs for money, no one calls her honey
As she bothers shoppers in the parking lot
Gets her karma with a catch
Forgets superstition by wearing it backwards
Lives under ladders and sleeps with black cats
Some people never change
- -
They just stay the same way
I swear this like a sailor, love is not a favor
I find it's just a concept that we live inside
If you can agree with me and Mr. Twain
In matters of opinion our rivals are insane
Forgets superstition by wearing it backwards
Lives under ladders and sleeps with black cats
Some people never change
- -
They just stay the same way
Some people never change
- -
They just stay the same way
Some people never change
- -
They just stay the same way
Change change change
Change change change
Change change change
Change change change
That's really just the chords behind the more Melody-driven guitar. I'm not sure
how to play the solo and stuff yet. Thanks for reading and leave your comments below!
