Subject: Xmas WE THREE KINGS
WE THREE KINGS
John Hopkins. publ.1857
We three kings of Оriеnт are [[Em] ]
Bearing gifts we traverse afar [[Em] ]
Field and fountain, moor and mountain [[Em] ]
Following yonder star [[Am] ]
О [[D] ]
star of wonder star of night [[G] ]
Star with royal beauty bright [[G] ]
Westward leading still proceeding [[Em] ]
Guide us to thy perfect light [[G] ]
Born a king on Bethlehem plain. Gold I bring to crown him again. King
forever ceasing never. Оvеr us all to reign.
Frankincense to offer have I. Incense owns a deity night. Prayer and
praising, all men raising. Worship Him, God on high.
Myrrh is mine; it's bitter perfume. Breathes a life of gathering gloom.
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying, Sealed in a stone cold tomb.
Glorious now behold him arise, King and God, and sacrifice; Heaven sings
Alleluia; Alleluia the earth replies.
