Вступление
This is a simple version, not including a lot of the fiinger picking and hammers/pulls that grow
throughout
the song (also on a second guitar in the recording).
It's quite easy to play around with fingerpicking and add some of the basic melody, so just
feel your way around until you find a good way to play it. Maybe someone more
skilled than me can work out more of the actual tune, but for playing it on one guitar I find it ok
just to
play around between the Ds and the Gs, fingerpicking and little fills like:
e -----2-2------3p2-0--------0-0---0---3p2-0-------2-2-|
B -----3-3------------3------0-0-------------3-----3-3-|
G ---2------2--------------------0---------------2-----|
D -0----------0--------------------------------0-------|
A -------------------------2---------------------------|
E -----------------------3-----------------------------| etc.
I believe he plays a standard G chord except during the fills (as above), where the high e and B strings
are open
[Intro]
[Verse]
As often as I could call you
Down in the Bureau of Mines
You were all caught up in that diesel
And habitual criminal signs
[Chorus]
Yesterday everything seemed to be alright
'Til I woke up in the dawn
My life I'd give you
for one sweet day
To be home
again and loved
[Verse]
You regret religion's support
And I am unable to try
So many have held out for glory
My habits grown too hard to die
[Chorus]
Yesterday everything seemed to be alright
'Til I woke up in the dawn
My life I'd give you
for one sweet day
To be home
again and loved
[Verse]
No sense to tell us we're burning
It's unexpectedly clear
How that warm bed of roses keeps calling
So what are you all doing here
[Chorus]
Yesterday everything seemed to be alright
'Til I woke up in the dawn
My life I'd give you
for one sweet day
To be home again
and loved
[Outro]
D G until end
