Hey guys, my sister likes this song and I'm looking for easy songs to play, so
I ear-transcribed this and it's pretty nice and easy! (Still can't play the
chords fast enough myself, but oh well...) I noticed that there are some other
chords for this song out there but I think this version sounds a bit more like
the recorded version because it uses a capo, though it's probably still not
perfect.
UPDATED: One commenter asked for the chords for the last chorus, so here's my
best guess!
IMPORTANT: Use a capo!
Capo 5th fret

Cmaj7 032003 (I guess you could mute the E string too but I don't)

C x32010
G7 323003

What if we stop having a ball?
What if the paint chips from the wall?
What if there's always cups in the sink?
What if I'm not what you think I am?
What if I fall further than you?
What if you dream of somebody new?
What if I never let you win, chase you with a rolling pin?
Well what if I do?
I am giving up on making passes and
I am giving up on half empty glasses and
I am giving up on greener grasses
I am giving up
What if our baby comes home after nine?
What it your eyes close before mine?
What if you lose yourself sometimes? Then I'll be the one to find you
Safe in my heart
G/f#
I am giving up on making passes and
I am giving up on half empty glasses and
I am giving up on greener grasses
I am giving up
I am giving up
G G/f#
I am giving up
I am giving up
I am giving up
I am giving up on greener grasses
I am giving up for you
I am giving up for you
(G* G)
