to play with a pick because there are some special strumming patterns
r=ring the chord
d=downstroke
u=upstroke
(d,u,d, stop)=quick downstroke,upstroke then downstroke then silencing the chord
(d,u,d,u)=change to chord on the 1st 'u' stroke, so the 1st 'd' stroke in the
sequence is still a chord (very tough to catch this for me, must admit)
