Once upon a time in early May
I stepped outside and I was on my way
The Trains rolled down the street I don't know why
The Trains rolled down the street somewhere to die
The Trains rolled down the street I don’t know why
The Trains rolled down the street some place to die
All around me - there tons of cars
Dirty, noisy, smelly, rushing cars
And the trees were weeping, they were crying
Dirt was spitting out and screaming tires
And the trees were weeping they were crying
Dirt was spitting out from screaming tires
Watching trains was like a revelation.
Now I pass it to the next generation
The Trains went down the street I don’t know why
The Trains went down the street somewhere to die
The Trains went down the street and I don’t know why
The Trains went down the street somewhere to die
