Tuning: Drop D tuning sounds best to me.

/ = Slide up

. = Palm mute

Note: I've found while palm muting on the low D string (as seen below),

it sound best if you deaden the string (the "x")while putting your hand

on the 3rd fret and playing it. It sounds good to me in my opinion.

You may want to try something different, but of course that’s completely

up to you.
