This intro is almost as the one 13:
e/----------------------
B/----------------------
G/-----5-----7-10-12-9--
D/---5---7-8------------
A/-5--------------------
E/----------------------
In the song there are a few guitar fills:
GUITAR FILL 1:
e/-----------------
B/-----------------
G-4-4-4-6-11-9-----
GUITAR FILL 2:
e/-----------------
B/-12-10-9-5-------
G/-----------------
Graham play some strange chords during the verses. I saw the chords in
a
live gig that I recorded. But I`ll write 13 after the chords. Here they
are
in the right order:
B13: (76x8xx)
A13: (54x6xx)
E: (022100)
G13: (32x4xx)
F: (133211)
A#13:(65x8xx)
C#: (x46664)
He doesn`t play this order all the way during the song.
When you play the first two "13" chords then bend the G string a
little.
But I think he uses some sort of pedal that makes that "bending" sound.
Because he doesn`t bend the G-string when he plays the song.
Verse 1:
Do you feel like a chain store?
Practically floored
One of many zeros
Kicked around bored
Your ears are full, but you`re empty
Holding out your heart
To people who never really
Care how you are (GUITAR FILL 1)
(Chorus)
So give me Coffee & TV
B A (Graham plays B13)
History
(GUITAR FILL 2)
I`ve seen so much
I`m going blind
And I`m braindead virtually
`Cos Sociability
It`s hard enough for me
(GUITAR FILL 2)
Take me away from this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we can start over again
Verse 2:
Do you go to the country?
It isn`t very far
Those people there will hurt you
`Cos of who you are
Your ears are full of the language
There`s wisdom there you`re sure
`Til the words start slurring
And you can`t find the door (GUITAR FILL 1)
(Chorus)
So give me Coffee & TV
B A (Graham plays B13)
History
(GUITAR FILL 2)
I`ve seen so much
I`m going blind
And I`m braindead virtually
`Cos Sociability
It`s hard enough for me
(GUITAR FILL 2)
Take me away from this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we can start over again
