Artist: Bad Religion
Song: Bored and Extremely Dangerous (acoustic version)
Here's an acoustic rendition of another great Bad Religion song. I can't take
credit for creating this rendition, it was done by a very talented girl on YouTube by the
name of Emily (a.k.a 2hamsters1couple), she does fabulous Bad Religion acoustic
covers. I wanted to learn to play her version of this so I tabbed it out. It's
very easy to play, and lots of fun to sing along to. Good song for working on your
singing-while-playing ability.
Check out her channel if you like this: http://www.youtube.com/user/2hamsters1couple
Play with a quick 4/4 time strum, the good old down-down-up-up-down-up
rhythm works perfectly.
(scrape the strings muted with your fretting hand with a quick up/down up/down
then go right into the song)
Verse:
With nothing better to do
(Ab5)
No one to come home to
I woefully con-clude
C5 (quick down/up) C#5 Eb5 Eb5
To take it out on you
Corus:
(the F# and G# are played 2 beats each, then 4 on the D#, same with the C# and G#
in the second line. Same goes for the 'Yeah sure..' and 'And bear..' lines)
Im bored to the ex-treme
This world of foolish dreams
Disillusion
I am not who I seem to be
Yeah sure I might do harm
And bear my right to arm
Retribution
If only someone would list-en to me
Whoa-ah-whoa-oh Whoa-ah-oh
Listen to me (hold the 'me' and sing in tune with your notes, 'mee-eee-eee' etc.)
Listen to me
Listen to me
Listen to me
(pause, tick clock, ring an old phone if you've got one)
(scrape, up/down, up/down)
Verse:
A room an empty shelf
(Ab5)
A book on mental health
I look for inner wealth
C5 (quick down/up) C#5 Eb5 Eb5
A punish in myself
Corus:
(Plays the same as the previous corus with the 2 beat notes)
Im bored to the extreme
This world of foolish dreams
Disillusion
I am not who I seem to be
Yeah sure I might do harm
And bear my right to arm
Retribution
If only someone would list-en to me
Whoa-ah-whoa-oh Whoa-ah-oh
Listen to me
Listen to me
Listen to me
F#5 C#5 G#5 D#5 (play with with 4 hard downstrokes)
