I re-wrote EVERYTHING in this Tab, except the Tab itself. Actually, that is a

slight lie. I re-tabbed Rock N Roll Dream in a more convenient tuning. As you

may have already noticed, I have fancied things up a bit. I have added a

neater Table of Contents, as well as a Find Code system to make navigation

throughout the document much less painstaking. Put the Aspirin down, now,

kiddies.

AC/DC's "Black Ice," is in many ways, one of music's most highly anticipated

albums. Ever. And for good reason; nearly a decade had passed since the

release of its predecessor, "Stiff Upper Lip."

Stiff Upper Lip was released in February of 2000, and did not chart overly

well, despite the album's titular track popping up near the top of the charts.

The album contained some of AC/DC's grooviest, sleaziest rock to date,

surpassed only in this respect by the band's 1995 disc, "Ballbreaker." Both

Stiff Upper Lip and Ballbreaker, while immensely frowned upon by the majority

of music critics, were held, for the most part, in high regard by the band's

hardcore fans.

The band did a mammoth world tour in support of Stiff Upper Lip, starting in

the summer of 2000. The tour did not wrap up until late 2001, with the band

playing some one-hundred-thirty gigs. The band did play sporadic dates until

2003, when they stopped to get some well-deserved rest.

During this time, rumours started popping up left and right regarding the

band's next album. The Rising Power Forum started a rumour that the album

would be titled "Strap It On." This went worldwide. The maniacal crackhead

who conceived this rumor now spends his days bragging about that, but that's

an entirely different story altogether.

Until 2007, the band released the odd DVD and their label got their official

website up and going, which was at one time a very, very disturbing porn site.

It wasn't until the Spring of 2008 that the band announced the then-untitiled

new album. This caused even more rumours to commence circulation. Shitty, fake

album titles and track listings popped up until mid-August, when the name of

the first single, the album's artwork, and the title were all revealed.

Fans waited patiently until the nineteenth of September, when the track "War

Machine" was made available on www.AC/DC.com . The band's label, SonyBMG,

suffered a major blow to the jewels in early October, when the album was

leaked on to file-sharing websites two weeks before release. The album wad

downloaded illegaly before release millions upon millions of times. Despite

this, the album went on to be one of the highest-selling in the year. This is

especially impressive since it was released so late in the year.

The new material wasn't exactly typical AC/DC. Sure, it was pure balls out

rock, but they wanted to show the world that they still had something to offer

that was exciting. And did they ever. Stormy May Day saw lead guitarist Angus

Young use a slide for the first time ever on an AC/DC album. Apart from that,

the album offered a few "experimental" pieces, such as the poppy staduim

rocker, "Anything Goes," and the moody ballad "Rock N Roll Dream."

Dumbass reviewers who obviously never heard the album prior to reviewing it,

called the album "more of the same." While there a few sensical ones that

actually review the record truthfully, that is the bulk of reviews for

Black Ice. Either way, it doesn't matter. It rocks six ways to Sunday.

In conclusion, Black Ice is a fifteen-track knee to the balls. From its

opening chord to it's last freetime axework by Angus Young, it never lets

up. If this is indeed the last album from this band, they'll be going out on

a damn strong note. \m/

Ok. For those of you who have been following my tabs for a while, you know

the drill. Everything tabbed out into bars, 4 bars per line. While I try my

hardest to fit everything into their proper bars and use the right amount of

spaces, it can sometimes get difficult with dotted notes and such. Therefore,

the solos will be divided into chunks, not actual bars. Also, if the same

occurs with rhythm bits, I will make note of it. The chords will go above the

tab.

Example:
